Predicting Shelf Life of Burfi by Linear Layer (Design) Algorithm : An Artificial Neural Network Approach

In this paper, linear layer (design) algorithm based model was developed for predicting the shelf life of burfi stored at 30o C. Input variables were moisture, titratable acidity, free fatty acids, tyrosine, and peroxide value, while overall acceptability score was output variable. Mean Square Error, Root Mean Square Error, Coefficient of Determination and Nash - Sutcliffo Coefficient were used in order to compare the prediction ability of the developed models. The model displayed good agreement between the training and validation datasets, establishing good prediction performance of linear layer (design) model for shelf life of burfi.
